Match the tool to who carries the risk
- Head contractor: you need every subcontractor's SWMS, licences and inductions checked before they start. Contractor management (HammerTech, Rapid Global) is built for that.
- Small builder or trade: inspections, pre-starts and incident reports from a phone may be all you need. Free plans let you start without a contract.
- Sites without signal: confirm offline use for the exact forms you need. Rapid Global, for example, confirms offline for incident reports.
- The software is a record, not the system: it holds your SWMS and sign-offs; it doesn't make them right. Your WHS obligations stay the same whichever tool you use.

Is SafetyCulture now called Mitti?
Yes. safetyculture.com now redirects to mitti.com, and the pricing page is titled "Mitti (by SafetyCulture)". It still has a free plan for up to 10 seats.
Which safety software handles SWMS?
HammerTech states you can create, review and digitally sign off SWMS, and Rapid Global verifies and manages SWMS within contractor management. SafetyCulture has a SWMS template in its library but no SWMS module that we could confirm. We couldn't confirm Dashpivot's SWMS features.
Does site safety software work without signal?
SafetyCulture inspections work offline and sync later, HammerTech's inspection app has full offline capability, and Dashpivot lists mobile and offline access. Rapid Global confirms offline use for incident reports.
