- Compare the software Australian design offices, builders and trades run on, on what they actually pay and need.
- Show every price in AUD with the date we checked it.
- Mark anything we couldn't confirm, instead of filling the gap with a guess.
- Say plainly where each guide's facts come from. Today every guide is built from the vendors' own published prices and feature pages; hands-on trials on realistic test work are next, and each guide will say when its trial is done. See how we test.
What we don't do
- We don't sell rankings or "featured" spots.
- We don't publish star ratings we can't back up, or testimonials we didn't collect.
- We don't let vendors review or edit our pages before they're published.
How the site is paid for
Some links are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, the software company may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way, and it never changes the order of our picks. We include products we don't earn from when they're the better fit. The details are in our disclosure.
Australia first, plus New Zealand and UK editions
Software is priced by country. The same plan can cost a different amount in Australia, New Zealand or the UK, with different tax and sometimes different features, so converting an Australian price into another currency would show a price nobody actually pays. So we never convert. The Australian site uses each vendor's Australian page, with GST shown. Where a vendor lists only US dollars or euros, we show that price as listed, plus an AUD estimate at a dated Reserve Bank rate.
For readers across the Tasman and in Britain, the New Zealand edition and the UK edition compare the job management apps, accounting and CAD and BIM software that sell there (plus PDF markup in the UK), using each vendor's own page for that country, with local tax notes (GST and payday filing; VAT, CIS and Making Tax Digital). Switch editions with AU, NZ or UK at the top of any page.
